On Lisping

June 2, 2011

Sometimes I wonder why we have to have so many programming languages when there is Lisp. This language is quite lovable. It represents data and code in the same way. It takes a while getting used to the prefix notation but in the end, it seems like an ultimate Swiss Army Knife for a programmer.

It has a different paradigm of programming, and of course, the syntax forces you to think in its own terms.  However, once you are accustomed to its idiom, you will get addicted to it. It is a neat language.
