A study in the USA reports that students learn more from non-tenured track teachers. The article is found here at InsideHigherEd.com

This is heart warming. It is nice to know that casual lecturers have their place. Sometimes it is even better because you do not have to always look for funding to justify your existence. I feel for my tenured friends, they also work long hours drafting their grant proposals.
